A turntable that gained great popularity for its functionality and design, the Pioneer PL 50 L from the Exclusive series, which offered several variants from the basic PL 30 to the robust audiophile PL70, P3 and P10.
The PL 50 series dates back to the eighties, when the PL 50 L designation was used, then another series was supplemented with the Roman II, as Mark II. Technically, both series were very similar, structurally they differed fundamentally in terms of internal layout and access in the event of maintenance or service. At the same time, the basic equipment of the L series used a fixed tonearm, compared to the II series, where the package included a choice of an 8-bit or straight 9" tonearm.
This particular piece was used in our listening room for several years and was converted for use in our network without additional external conversion transformers. The headshell is a lightweight version from Nagaoka (a weight plate is needed for lighter cartridges) and is equipped with a basic, new Audiotechnika AT 3600L cartridge (can be replaced with a higher model while waiting).
The offer includes an Oldstep slipmat, a center puck for singles, and since it is equipped with an old original cover with small scratches (it needs to be seen in person), we offer a lightweight new one, which, however, needs to be seen again, possibly tried and assessed during a personal visit. We also include a copy of the original manual.
